Sample Itinerary

We are working with our partners in Israel to create an exciting and engaging experience for our teens. The itinerary above is subject to change and a final itinerary will be confirmed and posted in the Spring for our families. Our experienced partners on the ground in Israel are experts in both Jewish and Israel education, creating a meaningful and rich Jewish experience, where teens will arrive home with an increased sense of connection to and pride for the land and people of Israel and its story as a global innovator.

Week one
Connecting to the Community and Space: July 10–12

The first few days focus on building our community and getting to know the environment. Activities include exploring the Negev, harvesting vegetables, and preparing Friday lunch in a MasterChef-style competition. Shabbat will be celebrated together, setting the tone for the meaningful volunteering to come.

Getting to Work in Ofakim: July 13–19

Next stop: Ofakim! The desert vibes will give way to community action. Mornings will be spent volunteering at a local summer camp, connecting with young children through fun activities, and forming bonds with teens your age.

Afternoons offer a mix of local fun and meaningful connections, including workshops with Ofakim teens, home hospitality, hiking, and learning about the people and agriculture of the region.

Week two
Tel Aviv Nights: July 18–19

In Tel Aviv, the “non-stop city,” explore the vision of building a city out of sand dunes and learn about the foundation of the state of Israel along Rothschild Boulevard. Discover the artist market at Nachalat Binyamin, enjoy lunch at the Carmel Market, soak up the sun on the sandy shores, and celebrate Shabbat with a local community.

Shfar’am and Volunteering with the Druze Community: July 20–26

In Shfar’am, an Arab village in the Lower Galilee with a mix of three religions, engage with Druze teens, learn about their unique culture, and participate in farming and volunteering activities with Druze children.

Afternoons will highlight the beauty and history of the Galilee: relaxing by the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee), exploring ancient ruins in Tzippori, hiking through Safed’s mystic sites, and enjoying stunning views.

Week Three
Jerusalem Old and New, Nostalgic and Complex: July 27–28

Arrive in Jerusalem to explore a city with 3,800 years of history, connecting to Jewish roots and understanding the sanctity of Jerusalem for the three Abrahamic religions. Celebrate Kabbalat Shabbat at the Kotel and embrace the peaceful Shabbat atmosphere of the city.

Visits include meaningful sites of memory such as Yad Vashem (Holocaust Museum) and Mount Herzl. Gain insight into the Israeli-Palestinian relationship through multiple narratives and connect with Jerusalem’s diverse populations. At Machane Yehuda Market, savor authentic foods from around the world and hunt for souvenirs toward the end of the journey.

Lasting Impressions: July 29–30

At “Save a Child’s Heart,” interact with children receiving treatment for heart conditions in Israel. In Bat Yam, surf and learn how “Hagal Sheli” empowers teens from underprivileged backgrounds through sports.

Conclude the trip at the Anu Museum of the Jewish People, reflecting on how your story fits into the broader narrative of the Jewish people. Depart Israel with full hearts, new friends, and memories to inspire ongoing efforts to make the world a better place—Tikkun Olam.

Incentive grants of up to $3250 are available!
