Cities in Israel!

Noa Denker -Bus 16

This past week in Israel was full of change for us, our unit finished our stay in the desert and made our way to Jerusalem. It was super exciting to experience our first Israeli city! We also spent some time in the Old City of Jaffa. For me as an American, it was cool to be in a place that had so much ancient history and to see how the modern culture built around it and made it into the modern bustling city it is today.

Some of my highlights from this week include free time in the old city of Jaffa .We also went to a shuk and our counselors facilitated a scavenger hunt that was super fun! The last thing that I enjoyed a lot was my time at the Western Wall. It was super powerful to be in the place that thousands of Jews direct their prayers to. In all, Israel has been an amazing place to experience with friends and I can’t wait to see what next week brings!
