NFTY in Israel – Bus 9A
Greetings from the Negev
Though we were tired after waking up with stars still in the sky at 3:30 AM in order to climb Masada and watch the Israeli sun rise over the Negev, we were revitalized by the saltiness of the Dead Sea. Floating effortlessly and being buoyed by the water was a perfect way to end the blazing morning, despite the fact that our hiking related cuts stung with the salt.
Let’s Hear Bus 1 Cheer!
Every Day Jerusalem
One of the running jokes on my trip has been that people actually go to the bathroom in Jerusalem. It’s kinda crazy, the idea that this holy city, where people dream of going their entire lives, where the Jewish people have endless history and culture and which holds a deep spiritual value, oh yeah, people live there.
A Look Back on Week 3 for Bus 2
After 4 tiring days of Chavayot, Bus 2 finally arrived at Kibbutz Hukuk (Hakuk Balev). We got our room assignments, and since we were able to request roommates, most people were very happy. The kibbutz has a playground that we can hang around at, swing, exercise, and hang eno’s!
Sci-Tech Israel Goes to Yad Vashem
Yad Vashem, the Israeli Holocaust memorial outside of Jerusalem, tells a story of the Jewish people and their persecution. On July 6th, through original artifacts, survivor interviews, and expert tour guides, the Sci-Tech Israel teens learned about the Holocaust through stories and faces.
Airobotics
We visited one of the offices of Airobotics, a company that has pioneered a new way for companies to take advantage of drone technology. Drones have many useful commercial applications, for example they can be used for security surveillance, as machinery inspection systems, or for emergency responders to do reconnaissance.

My First Day in Israel
My name is Emma Green and I am from Eisner Camp. This is my first time in Israel and I am on Bus 5. My first day of Israel, despite being thoroughly exhausted from the flight, was nothing but spectacular. When we finally got to the hotel around 9am, I slept until 2pm, which was needed.
Financial
Assistance
NFTY in Israel believes the opportunity to travel to Israel is one that cannot be missed. Many organizations support our mission of sending teens to Israel for a fun, educational and meaningful journey. To help offset the cost of a summer on NFTY in Israel, local communities, such as synagogues and federations, provide scholarship and financial aid to families.
