Bus 1 is Finally in Israel!
Today was the first day of an amazing summer on NFTY in Israel, and we all very excited. We started the day at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv, followed by “Am Israel Hai” songs. We are all very happy and thrilled to begin a great journey, full of good experiences and happiness.
Our first day in Israel – We’ve Arrived!
Today, Wednesday, when the group landed in Israel and came out of baggage claim they were greeted by their staff holding banners and signs that said “Welcome NFTY in Israel!” They were also greeted by welcome songs sung to them by their staff and accompanied on the guitar. The participants loved the attention, and this helped to lift their spirits for the adventure ahead with NFTY in Israel.
NFTY in Israel Educators are ready to greet our teens
One month ago, on Thursday May 17, 2018, NFTY in Israel office in Jerusalem held a graduation ceremony for 10 new graduates of the NFTY “Israel Educators Course.” The way NFTY in Israel trains its “Educators” is truly one of the outstanding features of our summer program. This year we interviewed more than 130 people for 10 positions.

Welcome families! This summer, your teen will embark on the journey of a lifetime with NFTY in Israel! Our team, in New York and Israel are working tirelessly to prepare for another amazing summer! As you prepare for the departure of your teen, we want to take a moment to share with you how you can stay in touch and share in their experience this summer.
What to Expect at the Airport
Our first buses leave for Israel in less than 4 weeks! This means we’re about to facilitate 470 teens transferring through our various gateway airports on their way to Israel or Europe. Fortunately, they’re not all traveling on the same day!
10 Years Later – Lasting Friendships on NFTY in Israel
It’s hard to believe that almost a decade ago I was buying a suitcase, packing my hats and water bottles, and preparing to embark on my NFTY in Israel journey as a 16-year-old Crane Lake camper. I remember the mixture of being nervous about being across the world for 5 weeks away from my family, while also excited to experience a new place with a community that I loved so much.

I was reminded, time and time again, that a summer in Israel – whether with your camp or a group of teens from across North America – is transformative; it is truly life-changing.

NFTY in Israel believes the opportunity to travel to Israel is one that cannot be missed. Many organizations support our mission of sending teens to Israel for a fun, educational and meaningful journey. To help offset the cost of a summer on NFTY in Israel, local communities, such as synagogues and federations, provide scholarship and financial aid to families.
