Highlights from July 9th and July 14-15th

Highlights of the past week from two of our 2024 Yallah! Participants.

Despite waking up at four in the morning, our group had a blast hiking in the Red Canyon in Eilat. The path was not only filled with beautiful scenery but also enriched by the history of the people who walked it before us. Hundreds of thousands of people, including our ancestors, paved the way for us in more ways than just hiking the Red Canyon.

At the Red Canyon, we also learned about the geography of Israel and some of the flora and fauna of the area. Following the peaceful hike, we went on an excursion through the safari, where we saw many different types of animals, including ostriches, ibexes, and gazelles.

All of this led up to a fantastic time at the Ice Mall in Eilat before we dove into the Red Sea to explore the northernmost coral reef in the world. The group is excited to continue exploring and learning in the days to come.

Over the past two days, our Yallah Israel group has had an incredible time exploring and adventuring around Israel! Here are some highlights:

We started with an amazing tour around Har Herzl, learning about the brave soldiers who fought to defend our country. Then, we enjoyed lunch at Beit Hakerem before visiting the Lone Soldier Center and the Herzl Museum to learn about Herzl, his life, and his Zionist ideas.

Next, we visited the vibrant Machane Yehuda Shuk, indulging in delicious food and browsing beautiful jewelry and other items.

The following day, we had color wars, competing against one another in various events, and celebrating the blue team’s victory! We ended the day by exploring the Peace and Innovation Museum, touring Yafo, and enjoying delicious food in Shuk HaPishpishim.

These past two days have been filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable experiences!
