Shabbat Shalom from MBI!

To all of our MBI families – shalom!

We write from you today after a morning of meeting Arab chanichimot (campers) from our sister movement, the working and learning youth, and learning a bit about their lives while sharing ours with them. And most importantly we ate and played together and enjoyed one another’s company! Tonight we will head to the egalitarian Western Wall to welcome Shabbat together.

While we’re surprised by how quickly the week has passed, we are mostly overwhelmed with gratitude for the chanichimot and this experience, and enjoying every meal, hike, and learning opportunity.

We’re looking forward to another week of insightful questions, new understandings and dilemmas, beginnings of deep and lasting friendships, and bus rides filled with music and laughter.

Wishing you a peaceful and relaxing Shabbat!
