Hey and Shalom to everyone! my name is Merav Cohen and I am one of the counselors on Bus 1 !
Today was the first day of an amazing summer on NFTY in Israel, and we all very excited. We started the day at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv, followed by “Am Israel Hai” songs. We are all very happy and thrilled to begin a great journey, full of good experiences and happiness.
After the participants landed, we welcomed them with welcome signs and went straight to the bus, which took us to Jaffa’s overview where we had an opening ceremony. I think now, finally, the teens are starting to realize they are in Israel!
Right after the great outlook point, we came to Mishkenot Ruth hotel and had our first great Israeli dinner. After having an orientation with Sara, our unit head, we played some fun games to get to know each other.
We are so excited to begin our trip, and to continue to have 4 more weeks of Israeli experience and Jewish adventure.
